MONGOLIA, 2 Sep 2022: Transcelestial has expanded into Mongolia with the country’s leading IT supplier, BestComputers, to introduce wireless laser communications to mobile operators, telcos, government and enterprises locally.

Transcelestial’s wireless laser communications fills a gap for our customers who need an alternative to fixed-line infrastructure. This partnership with Transcelestial diversifies our portfolio offerings to ensure that we can truly uplift all Mongolians who lack access to high-speed connectivity,” said Batmunkh Khurelbat, CEO of BestComputers.

As the least densely populated country in the world with a population of 3.3 million people spread over 1.6 million square kilometers, Mongolia relies largely on traditional fiber optic cables for Internet delivery – a challenge since it can take months to dig trenches for laying fiber optics.

Since 2005, BestComputers has focused on providing wireless networking equipment, video surveillance and telecom products from global brands such as Lenovo, Dell, and Cisco.

Going to market with BestComputers means that Transcelestial’s solution will be sold, implemented and supported locally by an authorised partner. Their specialisation across Mongolia in communication technology solutions and almost two decades of experience will mean that organisations can look forward to localised support via a dedicated point of contact to help them deploy Transcelestial’s technology.

Setting up traditional infrastructure everywhere isn’t always a viable option for Mongolia, so, wireless lasercomms will be a game changer for industry players who need better ways to deliver quality connectivity. Joining hands with BestComputers is a great next step that will help us connect with these organisations Mongolia and ensures that we can support business leaders with essential and tailored support,” said Rohit Jha, CEO and Co-Founder of Transcelestial.

In most large urban network environments, the main barrier to faster Internet delivery is the fixed-line infrastructure behind it. While physical fiber cables are common, it can be costly and incur delays in implementation, while alternatives like Radio Frequency (RF) technology require layers of red-tape approvals.

Transcelestial’s proprietary wireless technology creates an invisible laser communications network between buildings, cell towers and poles without the need for physical wires, delivering fiber-like speeds at a fraction of cost and time as compared to fiber optic cables.

About Transcelestial:

Transcelestial’s next-generation wireless laser communication technology is one of the most effective solutions in the distribution of high-quality, high-speed internet connectivity, making it well-poised to solve civilisation’s long-term communication needs – and ultimately improve connectivity for 1 billion users globally.

Highly reliable and secure, its light-weight, shoe-box sized CENTAURI device leverages its proprietary laser technology to create a wireless distribution network and can be quickly, easily and cost-effectively installed on any standard telecom pole or tower at a faster time-to-market than standard fiber-optic cable.

Over the longer-term, Transcelestial aims to develop a constellation of small satellites positioned in Low Earth Orbit, allowing their laser network to not only beam across cities but upwards to connect continents across the world too.
